Calling all current and future bookholics, novelholics,readingholics!! Alhamdulillah I am so very happy to have finally created my first webpage to share my reading passion with all of you. Hijrah Shelf is here with a purpose...to share my passion of reading by letting YOU read the books that I have read and found pleasure in doing so!
I own a wide collections of books in different genres. I do have my preferences ...i love reading non-fiction; mostly biography and true stories though I enjoy fictions and chick-lits once in a while. I usually aim for non-fiction relating to child abuse, I suppose this may have been due to my fist exerience reading my first non-fiction book..it's a book called "A Child Called It" by David Pelzer. Somehow it had opened my eyes to the world where parents don't actually love their offspring. I was wondering.. "how can this be??" but yes there are such people out there. Other than those, I also have many, many other books that you might like.
The thing about loving books is that you'll keep on buying them (never mind the expenditure..it's tax deductible!) reading them once or twice, keeping them near you for a while, and then putting them away somewhere once they become...CLUTTER! Once you get excited with reading, storage will become an issue unless you have enough space in your house for your books. As good as it sounds..time for reality check!...not all of us can afford to buy the titles we love to read, be it financial or physical constraint. So this is where Hijrah Shelf comes into picture!
